Malvern Demolished 10-0 At Home By Rampant Westfields

February 22, 2011
Not going to comment on it.  Honestly - it's just not worth it, it was as bad as it sounds and then some.

The 45 people who watched this game, minus the fans from Westfields should ask for their money back from the club after tonight.  Complete failure all over the park.

Shower of sh*t - players, managers and committee.

Well done to Westfields, they look like they will be favourites for promotion next season (think it's too late for them this season, after Tipton and Coalville have stormed so far ahead).

Tonight was the nail in the coffin, big changes have to be made at Langland Stadium because the club is a joke at present.

Other results:

Biddulph Victoria 0-0 Highgate United
Boldmere SM v Tipton was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch
Coleshill Town 3-1 Oadby Town
Heath Hayes 2-4 Dunkirk
Rocester 1-7 Coalville Town

Polymac League Cup:

Alvechurch 2-6 Stratford Town

Tipton and Coalville are top of the table, with 65 and 64 points respectively.  Westfields big win takes them to fifth but can they climb higher?

At the bottom, a gap has opened up (ok, no innuendo!) from 20th-21st with six points separating Leicestershire sides Friar Lane & Epworth and Oadby Town.  Willenhall are above Malvern but have played seven games more, and look destined for the drop with us.  We now have 10 points from 26 and visit Biddulph next.

The only way we can now stay up is if Rocester or Coventry Sphinx quit the league.  Rocester might do this, as they are cash strapped and have a poorer budget than us.  With restructuring due on finances in the summer, we might be able to stay in the MFA if Willenhall, Biddulph and Rocester leave the league but it will be undeserved and we will be favourites for relegation in 2011/12 at the way things stand now.

18 games to go, 9 weeks left!

Watch Out, There's A Herbert About!

February 14, 2011
Tom Herbert was at the Malvern v Willenhall game on Saturday, amid rumours that he is getting involved in the club.

The thought of a scumbag who killed a good, decent club in Bromsgrove Rovers sickens me to the core - and Herbert must not be allowed to ruin another club.

It's time for action!

Malvern Lose Basement Battle At Langland Stadium

February 12, 2011
Malvern lost 3-5 at home to Willenhall Town, and in doing so extended their winless and luckless run of results.

Willenhall started the quicker and were 2-0 up by 15.15.  Mitch Fellows hitting an early goal after the home defence froze and then latching on to a through pass to slam home past the Malvern Goalkeeper.

Leigh Downing's header on 17 minutes gave Malvern some hope, and Danny Pitt hit the equalizer on 24 minutes.  Quite an end-to-end and entertaining game and a draw would have been fai...

Malvern Crash Out Of The Worcester Urn

February 9, 2011
A crowd of 77 were at Studley's Beehive ground saw Studley easily dispatch of a typically hapless Malvern team.

Following a 20th minute own goal by Danny Byford, Studley went on to hit three goals in the second half.  James Bailey, Lei Brown and Tom Lacey scored on 58, 65 and 80 minutes respectively and the score could have been double figures to Studley.

Crap from Malvern, next up is a crunch game on the weekend against bottom club Willenhall Town.

Malvern So Close To Draw In Epic Highgate Battle

February 5, 2011
Any faith I had lost on Tuesday night was partially restored in today's battling performance at Highgate United, earlier today.

The final score was a narrow 5-4 win to the hosts, however Malvern dug deep and did not give in.

Malvern went three (yes T-H-R-E-E) goals up within 32 minutes.  An own goal from a corner by Craig Gasieswki on 12 minutes was followed up by a blistering low shot by Ross Kendall five minutes later.  2-0 up and cruising, Malvern went forward with purpose and debutant Jord...

Westfields Mean Business On And Off The Field

Malvern Reach Crisis Point

February 2, 2011
8-0

8 sodding nil.

Malvern Town (team of incompetent f*ckwits) NIL

Westfields (decent Midlands Alliance side) E-I-G-H-T.

This is beyond a joke.  Tonight was the worst I have seen the club play in a long time - a spineless, inept, sh*t performance in the Polymac League Cup.  The only crumb of comfort I can possibly take from this dire result is thank God this wasn't a league game.

If Michael Pitt has any sense he will sack every player who played tonight and get in 11 new faces + subs for our game ...

About The Site Author

I created this site after seeing my team, Malvern Town FC, suffer on and off the pitch in recent years. I have been a supporter of the club since 1993 (when I was 11) after I moved to Malvern with my two sisters, Gemma and Claire, and my father from Swansea, South Wales, following the death of my mother. I now work for my own IT firm, Greenbank IT, with my best mate and fellow long suffering fan Danny Goodwin, and apart from football my hobbies are collecting tropical fish, angling and amateur photography. I am very happily married with one child (Darren, 3 years old, who is more a Chelsea than Malvern fan!) I comment on Malvern's matches on both the Malvern Gazette and Worcester News under the name 'abarrett1982'. Some people have said that I am critical of the club, in my comments - I am not, I love the club, I just don't like people not running it properly. My dream is that one day Malvern will be a league club, or at least a force to be reckoned with in non-league rather than a farce. If you would like to know more about the campaign or send me an idea of helping the club then please email adrianbarrett6@gmail.com.
